Before doing any networking, I think we should spend some time with The Evolution of Trust.

Scientific communities, like all other human communities, run largely on trust.

This concerns how you trust other people. It also concerns how other people learn whether they can trust you.

When two people barely know each other, every interaction contains at least a little strategy. Let’s face it.

Please spend 30 minutes to an hour playing this game. Then try looking at the scientific community, and perhaps the wider world, through the lens of game theory.
